The company also operates Jaypee Nigri cement grinding unit at Nigrie District Singrauli Madhya Pradesh. In addition it operates coal mine located in Amelia Madhya Pradesh. The company was formerly known as Jaiprakash Hydro-Power Limited and changed its name to Jaiprakash Power Ventures Limited in December 2009. Jaiprakash Power Ventures Limited was incorporated in 1994 and is based in New Delhi India.
